HEALTH TESTING

Here at Sleepy Creek we do what we can to provide the healthest puppies we can!!! Health testing all parent dogs is very important !!!!!! Please check our parent page for testing results of our dogs.

General Info:

EYES
Eyes should be tested by a Vet Ophthalmologist. Eyes need to be tested Every Year. Proof of testing should be provided. Some breeders only have the eyes tested once, that is not acceptable.

HEART
Heart should be tested by a Vet Cardiologist. Proof of testeing should be provided. Some breeders have their vet listen to the heart that is not acceptable to us.

HIPS
Hips can be ex-rayed by any vet, But results should be evaluated by OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals) or Penn Hip. Proof should be provided.

ELBOWS
Elbows can be ex-rayed by any vet, But results should be evaluated by OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals). Proof should be provided.

PRA -(ProgressiveRetnal Atrophy)
This is an genectic, inherated desease of the retina. If a dog has this desease it will eventually go blind!!! A blood test is needed and is tested by VetGen Laboratory. Can also be clear by Parentage. Proof should be provided

VonWILEBRAND'S
VonWilebrands is a blood disease in poodles. A blood test is need and is tested by VetGen Laboratory. Can also be clear by Parentage. Proof should be provided.
